EFFECT OF LEAN PRODUCTION ON ORGANISATIONAL PERFORMANCE OF LISTED FOOD AND BEVERAGE COMPANIES IN KADUNA METROPOLIS

Abstract

This study examined the effect of lean production on organizational performance of the
listed food and beverages companies in Kaduna metropolis. This study adopted survey and
cross-sectional research designs. Primary data was used in this study. Multiple regression
was used to analyze the data collected. This study found out that total productive
maintenance has an effect on organizational performance of food and beverages companies
in the study area. Therefore, this study concludes that there is a positive significant
relationship between total productive maintenance and organizational performance of food
and beverages companies in in Kaduna metropolis. The study recommends that firms,
management and organizations should pay greater attention to total productive
maintenance, value stream mapping and automation in determining their optimal lean
production.
